The Ultimate tablet face-off

So far, There has been a lot of talk over tablets and that's why we decided to make this week's issue be focused on tablets, and how the would change the world into a better world.

Meet the Tabs:


There are a bunch of tablets, Unfortunately, not all the tablets are nominated because many people don't even know they exist. Today we are going to have a tablet face-off. Here are the competitors:

*Please note that "Tablet PCs" are all tablet computers, in the proper term, however, in this scenario, "Tablet PCs" Refer to tablet computers from Microsoft running Windows OS.

Each Tablet is special in it's own ways. But is there a King/Queen tablet? we're not sure, but we hope this comparison chart will help you decide. Then vote at the polls on your favorite  tablet!

 Now, we all are excited to find out the results, so let's take a look at a closer zoom-in on the tabs:

iPad (original):

Pros: A sleek, thin device which has many of the same features as the iPod touch, in a larger, easier-to-see slate, which helps many people with their daily life, and helps with travel

Cons: Even though Apple CEO Steve Jobs considers it 'a magical and revolutionary device' not all people think that. Even though it's 'easy to see' many people consider it too big and over priced, for an "over-sized iPod touch"


iPad 2:

Pros: The new iPad 2 is a device that takes advantage of all of the great features the original iPad has to offer.

The iPad also offers more comfort by it's size, design, and it's new accessories.
The new iPad now works with an HDMI adapter, which is for sale from Apple at $39.00 ($69.00 for the leather version) which allows you to connect your iPad to a HD TV and it will "mirror" what the iPad is currently doing.

Another popular accessory for the iPad 2 is Apple's new Smart Cover.
The smart cover, as Apple refers to is "One great idea on top of another". One of the other things that we thought fit into the "cons" are for the original iPad, was that unlike a laptop, which has a folding top, the iPad is big and could easily slip out of your hand, and break. In 2010, Apple did have a cover for their original iPad, but it made it too heavy, and "bulgy". Apple thought and thought. The Smart Cover was their idea...

The Smart Logics on the Smart Cover:

Well here's the deal to the Smart Cover. People thought "Well how can a cover be smart?" They were confused...

The smartness in the Smart Cover is that it can be used for many things, and has a new effect on the product (The "other" great idea) itself. These are all of the Smart Cover's benefits:

Now, The iPad patriots think the iPad is spotless. They are "blind" to the bad parts of it. However, The iPad is not spotless not even close...

The Problem with Tablets (The Overall Cons):

No Tablet is spotless. Not the iPad. Not the XOOM. Not the Galaxy Tab. Each Tablet is special in its' own ways. Here is a brief comparison on what is famous about each tablet:

The Ugly Truth on Tablets:

It's hard to decide what tablet is the best. A tablet is based on a specific person's needs. However, let's go through some of the worst tablets:

The worst tablets in the world are tablets that imitate or copy tablets like the iPad and sell them under a different name, at a cheaper price.

Here are a few examples:

Both of these "poor quality" tablets above are the tablet known as Super Pad. Super Pad is a cheap, but horrible replica of the iPad. It is available on Amazon for $220-- roughly a 8GB 4th Gen iPod touch before taxes. This tablet's best highest price is $20. Most people, especially patriots  of the iPad would save up until they could buy the best, most expensive, iPad with all of the latest features and accessories. If somebody offered it to them for free, they would bother even spending time answering, they would keep on saving, until one day, they bought an iPad.

 There's Just One More Thing Before You Go...


Remember, when it comes to tablets, or personal computers, Be as picky as you need to be. And just because you see a cheap tablet-- don't waste your money. Save up for what you truly want...

So, It's already been a busy week, filled with iPhones, and whatever else you could think of.
And there are a few things that we should cover.


Hot Topic: 

There have been many rumors that were spread in the last few weeks, that NASA's space shuttle program, is retiring, after decades of service to the U.S. NASA believes The shuttles are aging, and becoming more expensive to maintain. The constellation project was going to take over, but that got canceled as well. They're trying to spur private companies into developing their own rockets to get into orbit (which would be cheaper in the long run than a government-run program). 



In the meantime, NASA is going to keep up the good work, though. There are a few new space telescopes in the works, and many robotic missions on the drawing boards. It's just a shift in approach - they're focusing more on robotic probes than on manned exploration, because it is much cheaper and less risky to astronauts. Manned spaceflight isn't being completely abandoned, it's just not going to be the primary focus.


NASA means a lot to the U.S. And the world. It effected some of the main ways that humans entered and encountered the hard journeys to outer space.

But, it's for our, and the governments own move that this move happens, everything (most of the time) is done towards the best, and in order to improve things. This could have been done, not just for financial and equipment reasons but for safety too. It could also help benefit the environment and the government too. including us-- which means our taxes could be lower and the economy and stocks could increase.

This, we'll find all find out. sooner or later.

So, since we're already in the whole talk of "space", the universe, and NASA we forgot to mention of our beautiful, remarkable, and unique Galaxy and solar system.

When you take a closer look, you can see that all those details...

But wait... We're missing something...

If you look at one tiny little dot...

You'll find out that that is as big (or bigger) than our solar system. And all these solar systems are in one universe which is also one tiny dot. And there are thousands of each. Good thing they provide GPSs on those space shuttles!!! (you wouldn't want to get lost 1,000,000,000 billion light years from home!)

The new iMac released in 2011

A couple days ago, Apple introduced a new update, The new 21.5" and 27" iMac. Really, there isn't anything that "exciting" or anything we haven't heard about that would make that product really "new" but, if you have (or read the MacBook Pro post on Rainbow Posts, Check the Archive!!!) Then you should be fmiliar 'cause those updates are the same.

Here is a quick outlook and summary of the new iMac's features:

-Intel i5 and i7 processors (over the i3)

-Same Hardrive (500GB)

-Same Random Access Memory (RAM) (4GB, Up to 16GB)

-New FaceTime HD camera

-3X faster graphics* (than previous gen. Tests conducted by Apple)

-New Thunderbolt Ports

-Same look and thinness

Tech Worth Talking About:

Ever since, the white iPhone 4 came out, there have been some chats, texts, and searches for what that little thing on top of the speaker is. (We even posted this on our April 30th post (find in archive!) on Rainbow posts)

 At first, nobody (including us) knew, but now we have a hypothesis.

First things First: At first, we collected data on what it could be. we tested several smartphone, and recorded observations. Not much differences.

The Black iPhone: At first, we thought thought only the white iPhone had this, but then we took a few test and realized it that the black iPhone had this too, but it was very hard to tell without tools and nearly impossible to distinguish (you try it!)

Effects And Outcomes: We made a data chart of ALL the possible shown and non-shown features of both iPhones. Here are all the possible effected features:

WHOO! That's a LOT

However, It is the light sensor to the camera. (for quality images)

It's Strange, But it's True:-- White iPhone

 After tests, The data analysis showed that the white iPhone on Verizon (Verizon?!-- It's creepy and unbelievable, but it's true!!) Had a better and realistic image from the same angle at the Same distance than the White, AT&T model, Black, Verizon model, AND Black, AT&T model.

It's strange, But it's true.
