Apple has been battling with the
iPhone5.com domain and hosted "a small discussion form" (according to
MacRumors) for the past year and a half. As of now, several chain sources (including MacRumors and The Next Web), that the case that Apple filed to the
World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has been terminated. According to the MacRumors website
"The domain is now under the control of brand protection firm Corporation Service Company, presumably on Apple's behalf, and simply displays a blank page."

We think Apple's choice to to terminate the domain was for the public not to be mislead by what the site was writing about. This means that the site may seem too official, with the name of the product being the main URL. for example, we post about product info/rumors/news from our URL www.rainbowposts.blogspot.com, which unlike the iPhone 5 URL, gives away all of the site's secrets. Of course, this is just a suggestion and doesn't mean it's actually what we think (though it could be).
As we also noted, the domain "www.iphone4s.com" redirects you to "
http://www.apple.com/iphone/?cid=oas-us-domains-iphone4s.com" which is the shortcut to the iPhone 4S section on Apple's website.
This is all we know for now. Stay tuned for future updates, more on the iPhone and iPad, and everything else. We'll be here!
