iPad 3: Everything you need to know.

The iPad 3 rumors started, as soon as the iPad 2 was released, and now, here's a summary of everything we know on the iPad 3. In this article, you will find:

iPad 3 Key Features (Most Likely)
iPad 3 Less Likely Features (but still possible)
iPad 3 Release Date
iPad 3 Prices

iPad 3 Key Features

iPad 3, might feature the 5 new features, as described below. These features are the most wanted, and most likely features to be included on the iPad 3.

1. Retina Display

The iPad 3, is believed to have a 2048x1536 with 264 ppi (pixels per inch), twice the amount on the iPad 2. The pixel density won't be as great as on the iPhone 4/4S, but it will still be very high, and pictures, webpages, apps and email will look amazing

Doesn't it bug you when you run an iPhone app of the iPad, and when you make it twice as big, it becomes really pixelated, but with the iPad 3, the quality of iPhone apps may improve significantly.

2. A6 Chip

The iPad 3 will feature the A6 processor, which will have the following specifications:

-1+ GHz (around 1.2 GHz)
-Quad-core system-on-a-chip
-1024 MB RAM]

3. Better Camera + New Features

Since Most tablets have better cameras than the iPad 2, and as we noted in our post "The ultimate tablet face off" (April 2011), that the iPad 2 camera isn't that good. it's true. It's usable, but still, there's room for lots of improvement. We think the iPad 3 may come with a 5 MP camera, like the one in the Blackberry Playbook, Samsung Galaxy Tab, and Apple's iPhone 4.

The iPad 2 shoots pretty nice 720p video. It looks great on YouTube, on the device, on computers, and Smaller devices, like phones. However, for the big screen, Your TV, or the projector in the conference room, stunning 1080p, with video stabilization as seen on the iPhone 4S would be perfect.

We're also expecting improvements in FaceTime. The front of the iPad is supposed to get a FaceTime HD camera, and we think that FaceTime may include multi-way video chat, like Hangouts on Google+

Photo Booth might get an update, and have the background feature (and user background) like on the Mac. There may also be more effects to choose from, and the ability to record video (also like on the Mac).

4. 4G LTE

This was one of the most wanted features on the iPhone 5 (now iPhone 4S). Now that the networks are ready, Apple just might include 4G in their next iPad*

*If they do include 4G, it may not be available in all areas, and may be pricey

5. Dictation

Siri, was one of key features on the iPhone 4S, and there is a slight chance we may see it on the iPad 3. However, it's more fun to set the reminder yourself instead of having the beta software try to understand what you mean. It's still in beta, and it's not close to perfect. What would be really nice if Apple took the dictation feature (microphone icon on keyboard) so you could type with your voice.

A feature that most people want on the iPad 3 is a flash for the camera. We don't think that's going to be a new feature, because Apple points out that a flash is not required:

Well we don't know for sure.

iPad 3 Release Date:

-In the February to April time span
-Most Likely on Steve Jobs's Birthday (according to most sources), in memory of him.
Steve Jobs's Birthday was February 24th

So most likely on February 24th, 2011

iPad 3 Prices:

We think the prices will be the same, however if there is a 4G model it may be more expensive. The Retina Display is pretty expensive, so the iPad 3 may be more expensive (we think more expensive by $0-$300 depending on the model)

Thank You for reading this post. Stay tuned for more updates on the iPad 3 here, at Rainbow Posts.

Apple working on HD TV, packed with new features.

Apple iScreen concept by Ciccarese Design

Did you know Apple is working on a TV? We all Know Apple's current version of Apple TV but honestly, a box and a HDTV isn't very 'awesome'. However, several sources (like Smarthouse) suggest, claim and confirm Apple is working on a Television. However, this TV is no box hook-up. We've seen those before (like with Google TV) However this TV will be a TV itself, and here is a summary of several sources predictions on the Apple TV details:

FEATURES:

-A6 System-on-a-chip processor* that will be used in the next (3rd) iPad, may also be found in the Apple TV.
*We think that the A6 chip will be quad-core, and will have about 1.4 GHz.

-Siri, Apple's (not-so) intelligent assistant found currently on the iPhone 4S, may be included in future Apple   products, such as the iPad 3 and the new Apple TV

-The App Store for purchasing games and apps to your TV.

-The iTunes Store. Steve Jobs, noted that they want to change the TV industry as they did with music, and games, so Apple might allow customers to purchase TV shows, Videos, Podcasts, and other media without having to leave the living room.

-An internal hard drive. If Apple TV will have the iTunes and App Store, You need some space to store all those things. We think that if there will be an internal hard drive inside the Apple TV, we think the sizes could be as follows: 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, or maybe even  64 GB.

-FaceTime, plus a front-facing camera. The new Apple TV, may bring video calling via a built-in front facing video camera (around 3-5 MP)

-Microphone. for FaceTime, Siri, & Apps.

-Retina/OLED display? We're still not sure but it is possible.

-Overall, an enhanced TV experience.

SIZE:

MacRumors quotes that the TV may come in 3 sizes. Varying between 32-55".

RELEASE DATE:

We think summer (June-July) 2012.

That's what we know for now. Stay tuned for more updates.

That's what we think for now! Stay tuned for more updates

Now, we all are excited to find out the results, so let's take a look at a closer zoom-in on the tabs:
Zoom-in

iPad (original):

Pros: A sleek, thin device which has many of the same features as the iPod touch, in a larger, easier-to-see slate, which helps many people with their daily life, and helps with travel

Cons: Even though Apple CEO Steve Jobs considers it 'a magical and revolutionary device' not all people think that. Even though it's 'easy to see' many people consider it too big and over priced, for an "over-sized iPod touch"

iPad 2:

Pros: The new iPad 2 is a device that takes advantage of all of the great features the original iPad has to offer.

Click here to visit the iPad site

The iPad also offers more comfort by it's size, design, and it's new accessories.
The new iPad now works with an HDMI adapter, which is for sale from Apple at $39.00 ($69.00 for the leather version) which allows you to connect your iPad to a HD TV and it will "mirror" what the iPad is currently doing.

Another popular accessory for the iPad 2 is Apple's new Smart Cover.
The smart cover, as Apple refers to is "One great idea on top of another". One of the other things that we thought fit into the "cons" are for the original iPad, was that unlike a laptop, which has a folding top, the iPad is big and could easily slip out of your hand, and break. In 2010, Apple did have a cover for their original iPad, but it made it too heavy, and "bulgy". Apple thought and thought. The Smart Cover was their idea...

The Smart Logics on the Smart Cover:

Well here's the deal to the Smart Cover. People thought "Well how can a cover be smart?" They were confused...

The smartness in the Smart Cover is that it can be used for many things, and has a new effect on the product (The "other" great idea) itself. These are all of the Smart Cover's benefits:

  • A cover for your iPad
  • Light
  • Thin
  • Magnetic
  • FaceTime Stand
  • Keyboard Stand (For easy and comfortable typing)
  • Smart cover opens, iPad wakes up. Smart Cover covers iPad, iPad goes back to sleep.
  • No assembly required.
  • Does not cover the "Apple logo" on the back
  • Available in Leather
Oh, well... At least to Apple it sounds Smart...

Think it's smart? Have an iPad? Buy it here from Amazon:

Now, The iPad patriots think the iPad is spotless. They are "blind" to the bad parts of it. However, The iPad is not spotless not even close...

The Problem with Tablets (The Overall Cons):

No Tablet is spotless. Not the iPad. Not the XOOM. Not the Galaxy Tab. Each Tablet is special in its' own ways. Here is a brief comparison on what is famous about each tablet:

TABLET & THEIR GOOD STUFF:

iPad: Operating System, Design, Apps, Popularity, Brand, Quality Graphics,          Hadrdrive
XOOM: Camera, Customization, Widgets, Size, Performance
Galaxy Tab: Portability, Design, Battery life, Convenience
Galaxy Tab 2: Style & look, optimization, Quality, Performance
Playbook: Size, Screen Resolution (Display), Performance, 4G & 3G internet
Tablet PC: PC-like features, performance, Windows 7 OS

And now, the Not so good part of Tablets featured in:

TABLETS & THEIR (NOT SO) GOOD STUFF:

iPad: Camera, Screen Resolution, Customization (Widgets) Adobe Flash (will never be supported by Apple)
XOOM: Ease of Use, Apps, Operating System, Design
Galaxy Tab: Camera & performance could be better!
Galaxy Tab 2: (So far so good!...)
Playbook: This is the only tablet on the market that is good for anyone who hates E-mail, web browsing, videos, apps, games, and photos...
Tablet PC:  Let's just say this... Every tablet PC is rotten in its' own special way... (To learn about Tablet PCs, visit Microsoft's website by Clicking Here)

The Ugly Truth on Tablets:

It's hard to decide what tablet is the best. A tablet is based on a specific person's needs. However, let's go through some of the worst tablets:

The worst tablets in the world are tablets that imitate or copy tablets like the iPad and sell them under a different name, at a cheaper price.

Here are a few examples:

Both of these "poor quality" tablets above are the tablet known as Super Pad. Super Pad is a cheap, but horrible replica of the iPad. It is available on Amazon for $220-- roughly a 8GB 4th Gen iPod touch before taxes. This tablet's best highest price is $20. Most people, especially patriots  of the iPad would save up until they could buy the best, most expensive, iPad with all of the latest features and accessories. If somebody offered it to them for free, they would bother even spending time answering, they would keep on saving, until one day, they bought an iPad.

There's Just One More Thing Before You Go...

Remember, when it comes to tablets, or personal computers, Be as picky as you need to be. And just because you see a cheap tablet-- don't waste your money. Save up for what you truly want...

Also...

Lady Gaga Released her new album last Monday. We thought it would make your tablet's (or iPod's or iPhone's or your computer's) music library better than it already is. Times 10.
